4.2.2. VNC connection

You can connect to a VPS over VNC using the built-in web client or any third-party VNC client, such as the free TightVNC or TigerVNC.

Important points:

  • The web client is in beta testing.
  • For the web client, you do not need to activate access and use the VNC password; after connecting, you need to log in directly to the OS itself.

To connect via VNC using the web client, do the following:

  1. Go to the page "VPS"And on the tab"Management console »Click«Connect»:
  2. After connecting, enter your login root and root user password (you need to enter manually, copying and pasting are not supported):

Notes:

  • For security reasons, in Linux systems, when entering a password or pasting it from the clipboard, characters are not displayed on the screen.
  • If after connecting, instead of the command line prompt, a black screen is displayed, press any key (for example, Ctrl) to exit the power saving mode.
Before connecting, be sure to enable VNC access in the "VPS"On the"Management console »:

To connect over VNC using TightVNC, do the following:

  1. Download the latest version of TightVNC from official site, install it and run it.
  2. In field "Remote Host»Specify the server address from VNC connection data and press "Connect»:
  3. In field "Password»Enter the password from VNC connection data and press "OK»:
  4. After connecting, enter your login root and root user password (you need to enter manually, copying and pasting are not supported):
