2.6.2.1.9. Enabling UTF-8 Enforcement for Filenames in FileZilla

The hosting uses the standard UTF-8 encoding. If the files have Cyrillic names or they contain symbols of other national alphabets, then when creating or downloading such files using various FTPclients in some cases there may be problems with the display of file names and access to them. In order to avoid such problems, it is recommended to configure in FTP-the client is forced to use UTF-8. This is especially true when downloading files from Windows devices.

To enable forced UTF-8 for file names in FileZilla, do the following:

  1. Open the section "File → Site Manager…»:
