2.5.2. Connection sources

The current connection source is displayed at the top of the panel to the left of the path:

  • Connection source - the button shows the current connection source and allows it change:
    • «account»- you are connected to a hosting account. Default source.
    • «backup"- you are connected to account backup.
    • «ftp"- you are connected to FTP-server.
    • «ssh"- you are connected to the server via SSH.
  • Connection name:
    • For the source "account"- the name of the hosting account. By clicking, you can quickly switch between hosting accounts available in the current account.
    • For the source "backup"- the date the account was backed up. By clicking, you can quickly switch between backups for available dates.
    • For the source "ftp" - address FTP-server.
    • For the source "ssh"- username on the server.

In each of the panels of the file manager, by pressing the button for selecting the connection source, you can connect to the hosting account, its backup copy, or to any server using FTP or SSH.

To connect to any server using FTP do the following:
  1. Click on the button for changing the connection source (far left):
  2. Click "FTP»:
  3. Specify the data to connect to the desired server by FTP and press "Connect»:
    • «Host" - address FTP-server.
    • «Login"- username on FTP-server.
    • «Password"- user password for FTP-server.
    • «Port"- the port to be used for connection. The default is standard port 21.
To connect to your hosting account, do the following:
  1. Click on the button for changing the connection source (far left):
  2. Click "Hosting account»:
  3. Select the required hosting account from the list and click “Connect»(The list displays all hosting accounts that can be accessed from the current account):
To connect to a backup copy of your account, do the following:
  1. Click on the button for changing the connection source (far left):
  2. Click "Backup»:
  3. Select the required hosting account from the list, the required date and click “Connect»(The list displays all hosting accounts that can be accessed from the current account, and all dates for which there are backups of the selected hosting account):
To connect to any server via SSH do the following:
  1. Click on the button for changing the connection source (far left):
  2. Click "SSH»:
  3. Specify the details for connecting to the desired server via SSH and click "Connect»:
    • «Host"- server address.
    • «Login"- username on the server.
    • «Private key"- private key file. Attention! Used only if SSH key authentication is configured on the server.
    • «Password"- user password on the server. It can be omitted if the connection is by keys.
    • «Port"- the port to be used for connection. The default is standard port 22.
