2.13.1.20. Migrate WordPress

To correctly transfer a site running CMS WordPress, it is usually sufficient to do the following:

  1. Transfer site files and database (if required) using the one that suits your situation instruction.
  2. If in config file there are absolute paths to the site files, correct them. The path to the site directory should look like /home/user/example.com/wwwwhere instead of user should be indicated hosting account nameand instead of example.com/wwwpath to site files.
  3. If a different domain will be used after the transfer, change site url on new.
  4. If the site is configured for caching, clear cache.
  5. Check the site is working. If you get errors related to plugins, try disable problematic plugins.
