2.13.5.8. Changing the database driver in Drupal

Several kinds of drivers can be used to connect to MySQL database, namely - MySQL, MySQLi, PDO.

Changing the database driver must be done directly in the site's configuration file in database connection settings... Different versions of Drupal use their own way of specifying the driver.

Change the line:

'driver' => 'XXXXX',

Instead XXXXX you need to specify a suitable driver.

Change the line:

$db_url = 'XXXXX://login:password@host/base_data';

Instead XXXXX you need to specify a suitable driver.
