To install the current version of 1C-Bitrix: Site Management, do the following:

  1. Set the required PHP settings for installation:
    1. Install for the site PHP version 7.2 or higher (official requirements).
    2. IN PHP settings parameter value mbstring.func_overload set equal 2 and save your changes.
  2. Download from official site a BitrixSetup script on your PC.
  3. Via filemanager or any FTPclient upload the script to hosting in root directory site.
  4. Prepare the database:
    • If there is no free database, create new.
    • If there is an unused database, you can clear and use it.
  5. Install:
    1. Open the site in a browser by adding to its address bitrixsetup.php (example -
    2. Select the required distribution and click “Download»:
    3. Wait until the distribution completes and appears errors 500 at the initial stage of unpacking it:
    4. Edit the file .htaccess:
      1. Find the following line in it:
        Options +FollowSymlinks
      2. Replace it with this:
        Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
    5. Refresh the installer page in the browser where the error occurred and wait for the distribution to complete unpacking.
    6. Step 1: Start installation. Click "Further»:
    7. Step 2: License agreement. Check the box next to "I accept the license agreement" and press "Further»:
    8. Step 3: Product registration. Set the parameters and click "Further»:
      1. If you do not want to register a copy of the product, uncheck the box next to “I want to register my copy of the product, install solutions from the Marketplace and receive updates»,
      2. Check the box next to "Set to UTF-8 encoding»
    9. Step 4: Preliminary check. Make sure that only the value “Not clarified"Parameter"Web server version not found out", And the values of all other parameters are green, and click"Further»:
    10. Step 5: Database creation. Fill out the form and click "Further»:
    11. Step 6: Installing the product. Wait for the installation to complete:
    12. Step 7: Create an administrator. Specify site administrator parameters and click "Further»:
      • «Login (min. 3 characters)"- leave admin or specify a different username.
      • «Password (min. 6 characters)"And"Password confirmation»- enter the administrator password.
      • «E-Mail"- specify the administrator's mail.
      • «Name"- enter the administrator's name (optional).
      • «Surname»- enter the name of the administrator (optional).
    13. Step 8... Choose an installation solution. Choose the solution you want and click “Further»:
    14. Site creation wizard:
      1. On the welcome screen, click "Further»:
      2. Step 1: Site design. Select a design and click "Further»:
      3. Step 2: Color scheme. Choose a color scheme and click "Further»:
      4. Step 3: Site data. Enter the site data and click "Further»:
        • «Site name (company)»- enter the name of your site or company.
        • «Company slogan»- indicate the slogan of your company.
        • «Upload logo»- upload a file with a logo image (optional).
      5. Step 4: Choice of services. Select the services you need and click "Set»:
      6. Wait for the installation to complete and click "Go to the site»:
  6. Check the site is working.
