3.6.16. Configuring a domain for Yandex.Connect mail

To set up a mail domain within Yandex.Connect, do the following:

  1. Add and confirm domain in the service.
  2. Configure the domain to work correctly with Yandex.Connect in one of the available ways:
    • Using the Yandex NS server1)to serve the domain. Please note that without additional settings, the site that uses this domain may temporarily or completely stop working. Not recommended
      1. Make sure that the domain you added on the Yandex.Connect side is successful confirmed.
      2. Change NS domain for the following:
        • dns1.yandex.net
        • dns2.yandex.net
    • Using our NS, configure domain records. Recommended

To maintain a domain on our NS and work with Yandex.Connect, do the following:

  1. In chapter "Webmaster»Click on your domain card:
  2. Install records MXprovided in Yandex.Connect at the very bottom of the page that opens. Important! After changing MX records, mail will stop arriving at mailboxeshosted on our hosting.
  3. Add the rest of the specified entries in the domain settings.
  4. Wait for the update DNS cache... This usually takes several hours (maximum 24).
