3.6.7. Domain Verification and Gmail Activation in Google Workspace (G Suite)

Attention!

The domain must be served on our NS... If the domain is served on third-party NS, the actions need to be performed not with us, but in the panel of their owner.

To verify domain ownership in Google Workspace using a TXT record, do the following:
  1. IN google admin console choose a confirmation method by creating a TXT record and get a generated unique TXT record:
  2. Add a new entry in the domain settings as follows:
    • «Subdomain"- leave the field blank.
    • «A type"- select"TXT».
    • «Data"- insert the received TXT record.
  3. In the Google Admin Console at the bottom of the post data page, clickCONFIRM DOMAIN».
  4. Wait for the update DNS cache... This usually takes from several minutes to several hours (maximum 24).
To verify domain ownership in Google Workspace using a CNAME record, do the following:
  1. IN google admin console choose a confirmation method by creating a CNAME record and get the details of the generated unique CNAME record:
  2. Add a new entry in the domain settings as follows:
    • «Subdomain"- insert the content of the field"CNAME Record Label / Host»Of the received CNAME record.
    • «A type"- select"CNAME».
    • «Data"- insert the content of the field"Purpose / Purpose of CNAME Record»Of the received CNAME record.
  3. In the Google Admin Console at the bottom of the post data page, clickCONFIRM DOMAIN».
  4. Wait for the update DNS cache... This usually takes from several minutes to several hours (maximum 24).
To verify domain ownership in Google Workspace using the meta tag, do the following:
  1. IN google admin console select a confirmation method by adding a meta tag and get the data of the generated unique meta tag:
  2. Through file manager editor or any FTPclient edit your site's index file and paste the copied meta tag between the tags into it <head> and </head>.
  3. In the Google Admin Console, at the bottom of the meta tag data page, click “CONFIRM DOMAIN».
To verify domain ownership in Google Workspace using HTML-file, do the following:
  1. IN google admin console choose a confirmation method by downloading HTML-file and download the generated unique file:
  2. Through filemanager or any FTPclient upload the downloaded file to root directory of your site.
  3. In the Google Admin Console, follow the links and check the availability of the uploaded file for any of them:
  4. At the bottom of the page, click “CONFIRM DOMAIN».

Attention!

After setting up Google MX records, incoming mail will no longer be sent to our mail servers - it will be accepted by Google mail servers.

To activate Gmail for your domain, do the following:

  1. IN google admin console create all required mailboxes for your domain.
  2. Install Google MX records in the domain settings.
  3. If domain ownership has not been verified, verify it:
    • Or in any of the ways described above.
    • Or using an MX record:
      1. In the google admin console, get the generated unique MX record (ends with mx-verification.google.com).
      2. Add a new entry in the domain settings as follows:
        • «Subdomain"- leave the field blank.
        • «A type"- select"MX».
        • «A priority"- specify 15.
        • «Data"- insert the resulting MX record.
  4. Wait for the update DNS cache... This usually takes from several minutes to several hours (maximum 24).
  5. Activate Gmail in the Google Admin Console.
