3.1.3.4. Setting our MX record for a subdomain

Note

If the domain is served on third-party NS, changes need to be made in the control panel of their owner.

MX records specify the servers that should accept incoming mail sent to mailboxes of the subdomain. For mail to be accepted by our mail server, the subdomain must be set our MX record.

To set up our MX record for a subdomain, do the following:

  1. Add record with the following data:
    Subdomain A type A priority Data
    Subdomain name MX 0 mx.ukraine.com.ua
  2. Wait for the update DNS cache... This usually takes several hours (maximum 72).
  3. Check the work of the incoming mail.
