5.1. Activating and connecting to KVM

KVM provides full access to a dedicated server and provides signal transmission for monitor and I / O devices. Thanks to this, you can work with the server as if you were physically next to it. Using KVM, you can perform operations that are not available in other ways, such as entering the BIOS or formatting a disk.

Attention!

KVM is activated for 2 hours. If you need more time, after 2 hours, reactivate it and get new access data. The system is fully automated; manual extension of the access time is not possible.

  1. Open the section " Dedicated "And switch to the" KVM ».
  2. Click " Connect KVM »:
  3. Check out the connection steps and click “ Connect KVM »:
  4. Wait 15-30 minutes for the request to complete.

After activation, the KVM access data will appear on the tab and will be duplicated on account mail.

  1. In the KVM access data, follow the link from the line “ URL »:
  2. Enter your username and password from the KVM access data and click " Login »:
  3. Press " KVM Console " or " Click to open KVM Console »:
  4. If you see a black screen after connecting, press any key on the keyboard or in the sidebar to wake up the server from power saving mode:

After a successful connection, an image will appear on the page, which the server displays on the screen.

  1. Download and install Java.
  2. In the KVM access data, follow the link from the line “ URL »:
  3. Enter your username and password from the KVM access data and click " Login »:
  4. Click " Viewer "And download the JNLP file:
  5. Open the downloaded file.
  6. In the warning window, click “ Continue »:
  7. Wait for the download to complete:
  8. Click " Run »:
  9. If you see a black screen after connecting, press any key on the keyboard to wake up the server from power saving mode.

After a successful connection, an image will appear on the page, which the server displays on the screen.

Note

To run a Java application download and install Java.

  1. Download and run the appropriate application corresponding to the KVM version:

  2. Enter your access data and click " Connect » (« Log in »):

  3. Enter your username and password from the KVM access data and click " Login »
  4. Click " Remote View » (« Remote connection »).
  5. If you see a black screen after connecting, press any key on the keyboard to wake up the server from power saving mode.

After a successful connection, the application will display an image that the server displays on the screen.
